Stagecoach Theatre is Coming to Burlington

Stage-Coach-300x250Based on the overwhelming success in Milton, Oakville and Toronto, Stagecoach Theatre Arts is thrilled to find a home in Burlington in September 2017.

Every child has all kinds of abilities and capabilities, but unless they explore them, experiment and learn to express themselves, they may never realise the talents within them.

Stagecoach sets out to inspire children to unleash their potential, teaching the performing arts and so much more. It’s about taking on a challenge and being unafraid to express yourself, having the courage to be yourself and let other people know it, being creative and expressive and building life-long friendships. Stagecoach calls it ‘Creative Courage for Life’.

Studies suggest school children exposed to drama, music and dance are more proficient in reading, writing and math. At Stagecoach, our goal is to help children to grow their self-esteem and self-confidence. The performing arts allow for deep self-expression from a child’s heart. It can help them make sense of their emotions and develop new ideas giving them a way to express themselves. For example, musical children may find their “happy place” when they are playing songs that reflect their emotions. Or maybe the dancer is better able to express their emotions through physical movement rather than vocally.

The creativity involved in performing arts extends to emotional creativity and can open children to new ways of seeing the world. In group settings, children learn how to collaborate. The focus is not on winning or losing, but instead on working together towards a shared performance goal, as well as the child’s individual journey of development.

Registration is now open for both Burlington and Milton Septemeber classes
