Fall events in OakvilleHalton Pumpkin Trail – September 14 to October 31, 2015

The Halton Pumpkin Trail showcases Halton as a premier autumn destination by highlighting unique pumpkin- and harvest-themed experiences. Exploring the trails is self-guided (map provided) and connects you to a variety of exceptional fall events and products available throughout the Region. Try and visit as many locations as possible along the Trail to experience all things pumpkin in Halton!

Telling Tales Festival – Sunday, September 20th, 2015

Turn off your computers and get ready for a day of storytelling that has something for everyone. This is a great opportunity to introduce preschoolers to the joys of literature, reading and storytelling! Gates open at 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

James Street Supercrawl – Friday September 11th until Sunday September 13th

A three day festival combining Art, Music, Culture and Fun! New for the 2015 event – expanded family programming in the the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Family Zone that will run on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM til 8:00PM.

Acton Fall Fair – Friday, September 18th until Sunday, September 20th

Bring the family out see a real tractor and  truck pull, horse shows, live musical entertainment, Crafts, Midway games and  yummy food to try! Open Friday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday  8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00am to 3:00 p.m.

Royal Medieval Faire – Saturday, September 19th

Step back in time and come to the magical Royal Medieval Faire. The event offers Celtic music, magic, swordplay, juggling, knighting ceremonies, story telling and musical entertainment for the whole family. Open from 11:00a.m.to 6:00p.m.

Fall Events Around MiltonSt. George AppleFest – Saturday September 19th and Sunday September 20th

One of Festival & Events Ontario’s Top 100 events and voted “Best Attraction” in Brant County Shining Star Awards. There will be all things apple, including apple pies, apple dumplings, apple cider and more. Also there will be fun apple inspired crafts for the kids and many other fun things to do in the Children’s Activity Area. Open Saturday 10:00a.m.to 6:00p.m.and Sunday 10:00a.m.to 5:00p.m

Harvest Festival At Springridge Farm – September 19th through to October 31st

An event full of family fun! From a Professional Puppet Show to wagon ride to the 5-acre Corn Trail there is so much for kids to do during the Harvest Festival. The Springridge Farm BBQ Barn is open for Harvest Festival. Menu items include hotdogs, sausages, corn on the cob, apple chips and a combo for kids. Don’t forget to visit the Barn Market for fall décor, farm fresh baking, apples and apple cider. Open daily from 10am to 4pm (including Thanksgiving Monday and Halloween Saturday).

Word On The Street – Saturday September 26th and Sunday September 27th

Word On The Street is a national book and magazine festival celebrating the written word and promoting literacy.  There will be children entertainers and celebrity readings of several cherished Children’s books. Participate in book inspired craft making, face painting and plenty of musical entertainment to keep the kids enthralled and parents too. Saturday (Kitchener) 11:00a.m.to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday (Toronto) 11:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m.

Milton Fall Fair- Friday September 25 until Sunday September 27th

From Tractor pulls to Lumberjacks shows, there is plenty to take in and enjoy. There will be face painting and other activities in the Children’s Activity Area including pony rides! Open Friday 3:00p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday  9:00a.m.to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Applefest Fall Fair -Sunday, September 27, 2015

Enjoy a fun filled family day exploring a real country inspired fair. There will be live music, children’s entertainment, plenty of apple inspired culinary creations, kids crafts and games, make your own scarecrow, Hay mazes and more. Also all kids will receive a goody bag and a chance to win a gift basket too! Outdoor Pancake breakfast from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00.a.m and Fair gates open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Harvest Halton – Sunday, October 4th

Harvest Halton is a Farm to Chef Experience that will tantalize your taste buds as you sample unique dishes created by award winning chefs from Halton Region’s renowned restaurants. Each chef will be paired with local farmers who will provide signature ingredients fresh from the harvest.

Location: Country Heritage Park (8560 Tremaine Road, Milton)

Admission:$30.00. Kids under 12 are $5.00.

Rockton Worlds Fair – Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12th

There are so many types of vendors and artisans, contests and rides at this fair that getting a weekend pass might be a good idea! Voted one of the top 100 festivals in Ontario, there is something for everyone.  The event begins at 2pm on October 9th and closes at 5pm on Thanksgiving Monday.

Balls Falls Thanksgiving Festival – Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12th

Featuring over 150 selected artisans displaying and selling their items such as pottery, paintings, jewellery, lawn ornaments and clothing. Daily live entertainment, children’s activities, local craft brewers and wineries too! The event is open each day from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

Location: Ball’s Falls Conservation Area (south of Vineland on Regional Road 24)

Admission: $6 for adults.  Kids under 14 are free (no pets please).
