Taking your Burlington Kids to the Farmers’ Market can be an educational experience. Lessons in counting the stacks of fruit and vegetables or counting money are a possibility. The little ones will love the colours and shapes. The vendors are always excited to tell their story and describe their products. They are always friendly so encourage your little ones to ask questions. This fosters social skills and confidence. It’s also FUN. Most often farmers will let you sample their goods. Everyone loves sampling a favourites like strawberries or blueberries. It’s even fun to try new things! Make SURE you have a camera ready as your Burlington Kids try new things!

Burlington Farmers’ Market 2016
The Burlington Mall Farmers Market is located in the Burlington Mall parking lot, on the Prospect Street side of the mall. It is operated by the Burlington Lions Club who donate the proceeds from the Market operations to those in need. The market starts on May 4 and continues through to October 29, 2016. Market times are Wednesday 8am to 2pm, Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm. The market will be open on Canada Day, July 1, 2016.
Starting on May 8th, 2016, the Centro Farmer’s Market runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sundays until fall, when it gets too chilly. Find the market in the rear parking lot of Centro Garden at 437 Brant Street in Downtown Burlington.
