EASTER ACTIVITIES FOR BURLINGTON FAMILIES

Easter EggsFor many Easter is a religious time while for others Easter is a Spring holiday that gives children a little break from school as they anticipate the Easter Bunny. Burlington families have lots to look forward to this year. Easter Weekend begins on Good Friday, April 18th and continues until Easter Monday, April 21st though many parents will need return to work on Monday. Children at both the Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board will return to classes on Tuesday April 22nd.

Easter weekend, and the weeks ahead, are filled with fun for the whole family. Take a look at all the local Easter Egg Hunts, Bunny visits and activities in town!

Visit the Ireland House at Oakridge Farm for their FREE Sp’egg’tacular Easter Event. Starting at 11AM on April 13th, you can come meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs, see live entertainment, face-painting, heritage baking demonstrations with sampling, and do crafts along with plenty of other activities!

Get moving this Easter at the Good Friday Bunny Hop Races with the Burlington Runners Club.  Races will take place on April 18th at Aldershot High School in Burlington. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the race. Prizes will be awarded to the winning hoppers! Register Online here.

Easter Flowers

The Royal Botanical Gardens will host their famous Easter Brunch on April 20th! Reserve a table for 10AM or 1PM, then stroll through the Gardens and enjoy the beauty of spring. Click here for the full menu.

Join Mountsberg Conservation Area for their Easter Egg Extravaganza on April 18th. There will be fun family activities from 10AM-4PM, including a giant Easter egg hunt for children of all ages, meeting the spring babies in the farm yard, making bubbles, exploring the play barn and more!

Visit Springridge Farm from Friday April 18 to Sunday April 20 for their Annual Easter Festival. Easter activities will run 10am-4pm and admission is $11.00 per person. You’ll get to meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs, see a puppet show, take a wagon or pony ride, play in the Famryard and much more.
