Canada Day 2016 in Burlington

Canadian FlagThis year, our great nation will celebrate its 149th birthday on Friday, July 1st and there will be loads of FUN and ENTERTAINMENT for friends and family to enjoy! As always, there are great activities to participate in on this fabulous summer statutory holiday. At Burlington Kids, it is important to us that you have information in advance to plan your day and maximize your FUN! Here is a of planned Canada Day celebrations in Burlington, updated for 2016.


Spencer Smith and Waterfront Park – Noon to 10:00 pm – FREE Admission

1400 Lakeshore Rd, Burlington, ON L7S 1A1

As always, this Burlington event that makes the TOP 100 List for Festivals in Ontario will be jammed packed with entertainment, food and fun! The musical lineup for the city’s Canada Day celebrations will include the likes of the Burlington Teen Tour Band (BTTB), Felicia McMinn, Symphony on the Bay, and many others. There will be countless vendors, too. The following is a detailed listing of scheduled events:

Noon – 5 p.m. Face painting with BeeBop the Clown East Lawn

Joseph Brant Museum – 11:00 am to 4:00 pm – FREE Admission

The museum is hosting a Strawberry Social on Canada Day from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The Canada Day Strawberry Social festival takes place at Burlington’s waterfront and joins onto other City of Burlington Canada Day celebrations. Activities on this day include special performances and live entertainment, games, festive crafts, and museum tours!

There will be special performances by:

Nick’s juggling Family – a unique family juggling show performing in and around the G.T.A. for the past 10 years. They juggle balls, batons, spinning rings, flower sticks, hoola hoops, boxes, clubs, spinning poi, swords, fire balls, fire torches, and fire poi.

Cheer Sport Sharks – with countless national and international titles, Cheer Sport Sharks of Ancaster offers a fun, friendly atmosphere with a wide range of cheerleading programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels.

Doppelganger – with over 40 years experience playing live, Doppelganger has been called one the best Cover Bands in Southern Ontario, playing the hits of yesterday and today.
