splashpads-2015-5dcb61a2Splash Pads are a great way to escape some of the season’s hottest weather and have some great FUN! Burlington Parks across The City offer these refreshing splash pads for families to enjoy on a hot, sunny days.

Splash pads are a great, fun way to spend the day with the kids, since they can explore the park and cool off in the water. Plus, since splash pads have no standing water, the risk of a drowning accident occurring is minimal which makes this kids’ activity a great safe choice.

In Burlington, nearly all splash pads (except for Mountainside Park) are free of charge. They operate daily, usually from 9 AM – 9 PM. Some parks begin operating in May, while some parks begin operating in the heat of June. (All opening dates are listed below.) They all close when things cool off in mid-September.

If you are going to enjoy this fabulous outdoor activity please be prepared. Don’t forget the sunscreen, drinks to keep everyone hydrated, towels, and an extra change of clothes for the ride home.
