Summer Camps give Burlington Kids opportunities to fill each day of their vacation with new and stimulating activities once school ends in June. Luckily there are lots of local opportunities for academic growth, physical activity and creative expression.
Take a look through our list of Burlington Summer Camps and you will be sure to find an activity suitable for your child’s interests. Keeping your child active and entertained will ensure they have a memorable summer and are exhausted for bed time. It will also keep them in a routine so that going back to school in the fall isn’t such a shock. Plus they can learn many new skills and make new friends that will help the next school year pass by smoothly.
ACADEMIC SUMMER CAMPS IN BURLINGTON
Alliance Francaise – June 30 to August 22
Summer camps with Alliance Franacais provide complete French language immersion with a blend of fun and educational activities for kids ages 5-11. Camps run from 9am – 4pm with before and after care available. Themes explored include dinosaurs, explorers and monsters.

Museums of Burlington – July 7 to August 15
Campers ages 5 – 12 will go around the world in 25 days at the Burlington Museum Ireland House and Joseph Brant Museum. Each week children will discover a new continent, and each day focus on a specific country. Weeks 1, 3 and 5 will be at the Ireland House, and weeks 2 and 4 will be at Joseph Brant Museum. The camp is $30.00 per day, running from 9:30am to 3:30pm.

Royal Botanical Gardens – June 30 to August 29
Get hands-on environmental education in one of the most biologically diverse natural areas in Canada. The RBG offers a Summer Fun Camp for kids ages 3 – 13 and a Teen Leadership program for ages 13 – 17. On Thursday nights, campers who are 8-13 years old can take part in an overnight camping experience. All full-day camp programs run 9-4, half day camps end at noon. Extended care is available.

Sylvan campers focus on a specific skills or subject areas, like math, reading or writing, with tutors who understand the curriculum. Pre-K to high school students will learn through engaging activities and games that are sure to impact future success. SPORTS SUMMER CAMPS IN BURLINGTON
Balls of Fun – July 2 to August 30
Tuesday to Friday from 1-4pm, kids ages 4 to 8 can enjoy an afteroon of gym activities and games with Balls of Fun. Sign up for just one day or the full week. Late pick-up is available and you can add a drink and snack deal. Balls play at a young age helps develop crucial motor skills for the future that become the foundation for almost any sport.

Canlan Ice Sports - June 30 to August 29
Canlan Ice Sports offers a variety of week-long hockey camps for kids ages 3 and up during the summer. All camps will improve on hockey skills while challenging campers in a fun and positive environment. They also offer other sports camps that include all kinds of ball and stick sports, like soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, and more. You may purchase a meal plan with any of their camps.

Havencrest Riding Academy – June 30 to August 29
Camps operate from 9:00am until 4:00pm and campers are divided into groups according to age and skill level. Campers must bring proper riding attire, a change of clothes and bathing suit. Before and after care must be arranged in advance. Every Friday is pizza day.

DANCE, MUSIC, ARTS SUMMER CAMPS IN BURLINGTON
Burlington Dance Academy – July 1 to 18, August 18 to 22
The first week of camp has an Alice in Wonderland theme and offers a full day for age 6 – 13, and a half day for ages 3 – 5. The second week is an full day Adventure Camp for ages 6 – 13. They will learn about musical theatre while having fun. A pizza lunch is provided one weekday, and before and after care can be arranged. Burlington Dance Academy also offers an intensive summer dance program for ages 7 -18. Here campers will have up to four intensive hours of classes a day in ballet, jazz, acro and lyrical.

Premier Dance – July 7 to August 21
Premier Dance offers three exciting themed camps that include dance training, games, crafts and movies. Princess Party (ages 4-6, half day), Pop Stars (ages 7-11, full day) and Summer Open for all ages in the evening. Before and after care available upon request.

Jeanettes Cakes offers fun, delicious and educational half-day camps during the summer. Kids ages 10 and up will learn about cooking, cake making and decorating, and even painting with a guest instructor. Campers will all take home their creation!

Art Gallery of Burlington – July 8 to August 22
Get hands on experience with clay, fabric, puppets, printmaking, photography, pop art, paining, drawing and much more with one of the many week long camps for kids of all ages. Half and full day camps are available depending on which camp you choose. Adult classes are offered for ages 16 and up. You can arrange flexible drop off and pick up times.

Fun in the Sun – August 11 to 22
St Christopher’s Anglican Church offers a summer program for kids ages 3 and up. “Fun In The Sun” runs from 9AM – noon and includes crafts, music, drama and games. Christian values and stories are used but people of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome.
